The Executive Oversight & Accountability Committee (EOAC) is established by the MSU Constitution and the Student Senate to have a major oversight and monitoring role in relation to the activities of the members of the Executive and in scrutinising the priorities and performance of members of the Executive in relation to their manifesto pledges, annual plan of work, and mandates.
Membership
Membership of the committee shall be as follows, namely:
- Two members of the Student Senate who were directly elected to the Student Senate
- One member of the Arts, Celtic Studies, & Philosophy Faculty Assembly who is also a member of the Student Senate
- One member of the Social Sciences Faculty Assembly who is also a member of the Student Senate
- One member of the Sciences & Engineering Faculty Assembly who is also a member of the Student Senate
- One member of the Clubs Council who is also a member of the Student Senate
- One member of the Societies Council who is also a member of the Student Senate
- One member of the Welfare & Equality Forum who is also a member of the Student Senate
- One member of the Postgraduate Panel of the Student Senate
Chairperson
The Speaker of MSU Student Senate shall be the Chairperson of the Committee but may delegate responsibility to another member of the Committee.
frequency
The Committee shall meet six times in regular session (academic year), normally with three meetings per session (semester), and then as often as required to carry out its function.
Quorum
Quorum for the meeting shall be 5 members.
Governance
The Committee shall report back to the Student Senate after each meeting.
